If the Fire character touches a water pool or hazard, they will be defeated and the level must be restarted. Each character has opposite weaknesses, so Fire must avoid water and Water must avoid lava and fire-based hazards.

Fire And Water can technically be played solo by controlling both characters yourself using the WASD keys for Fire and the arrow keys for Water, though it is much easier and more fun with two players. Solo play is a real challenge since you have to coordinate both characters at the same time.
